Vulcan Iron Works started producing railroad and mine locomotives in 1874 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and produced into the 1950's. And they produced locomotives from the 0-4-4T Forney's that the Maine two footers used to 2-6-2 Prairies used by many standard gauge railroads, and diesels as well.
